Multi-Location Search
Put Every Franchisee on the Map With
SEO for Franchises That Ranks Every Location, Not Just Head Office
SEO for franchises serves two audiences at once: local customers and future franchisees. The customer side is huge, with Australians searching “pizza near me” about 550,000 times a month and “gym near me” about 301,000. Recruitment demand is far smaller, around 1,900 monthly searches for “franchises for sale”, and anything said to prospective franchisees must line up with the disclosure the Franchising Code of Conduct requires. We build distinct location pages, one profile per site and honest recruitment content.
For franchisors and master franchisees running food outlets, gyms, car servicing, tutoring centres, home services and cleaning networks, from ten sites to several hundred.
Why Twenty Locations Are Not Twenty Copies
Google treats each franchise location as its own local business in the map results, yet many franchise websites give every store the same page with a different suburb. Near-identical pages are easy to filter out. Ranking takes location pages with real local detail, a correctly managed profile per site, and reviews that belong to that store, not the brand.
Local vs National
Why Head Office Rankings Don't Reach the Stores
A strong national homepage rarely wins a “near me” search. Those go to whichever nearby listing looks most complete and best reviewed, franchise or independent.
Location pages worth indexing
Each store page carries its own staff, services, parking, local landmarks and reviews, so it stands on its own instead of repeating a template.
One verified profile per site
We audit every Google Business Profile in the network for duplicates, wrong hours and missing categories, then set a standard franchisees can keep.
Reviews that belong to the store
Customers choose the location near them, so each site needs its own review stream. Franchisees get a simple routine and head office sees every score.
Recruit with accurate claims
“Franchise opportunities” searches peaked at 1,600 in September 2025. Recruitment pages we write match your disclosure documents, with no earnings promises you cannot support.
Beat independents store by store
A local independent often outranks a franchise store because its one page gets full attention. We give each location the same care, starting with the weakest.
Customer and Franchisee Searches in Australia

| gym near me | 301,000 | $1.77 |
| car service near me | 22,200 | $3.48 |
| tutoring near me | 4,400 | $6.92 |
| lawn mowing near me | 4,400 | $3.17 |
| franchises for sale | 1,900 | $3.92 |
| franchise opportunities | 590 | $4.68 |
| franchising code of conduct | 590 | n/a |

Franchising Code of Conduct
The Franchising Code of Conduct is mandatory and enforced by the ACCC; a remade version took effect on 1 April 2025. Franchisors must give prospective franchisees a disclosure document before signing. For SEO, recruitment pages, earnings examples and support claims need to match that disclosure, and location pages must not overstate what each store offers.
Customers outnumber franchise buyers by far
“Pizza near me” averages 550,000 searches a month; “franchises for sale” averages 1,900. Even “lawn mowing near me” (4,400) is more than double the largest franchise-buying term in our table. For most networks, store-level local SEO is where the bulk of search demand sits.
Recruitment clicks cost more
A paid click on “cleaning franchise” averages US$12.49, against US$1.11 for “pizza near me”. Prospective franchisees also research the rules: “franchising code of conduct” gets about 590 searches a month, peaking at 880 in October 2025. Recruitment pages that explain disclosure clearly meet that research head on.

Frequently Asked Questions
Usually not with a manual penalty, but it often filters near-duplicates out of results, so only one or two stores rank. Pages that differ only by suburb name give Google no reason to show each one. We write every location page with details specific to that site, such as staff, services, access, nearby landmarks and store reviews, and we measure page similarity across the network before publishing.
Head office should hold primary ownership, with franchisees added as managers. That way the brand keeps control if a franchisee leaves, while local teams can still reply to reviews and post updates. We audit every profile for duplicates, unclaimed listings and wrong categories, then document a standard for hours, photos and services that each franchisee can maintain without breaking consistency.
Anything you publish to attract franchisees should agree with what the Code requires you to disclose. The Code, remade from 1 April 2025 and enforced by the ACCC, requires a disclosure document before a franchise agreement is signed, and Australian Consumer Law separately prohibits misleading claims. Earnings examples, set-up costs and support promises on your site should be accurate and consistent with those documents. We draft recruitment content with that in mind and flag anything that needs legal review.
Often yes, because each new franchisee is worth far more than a single customer. Searches are modest, about 1,900 a month for “franchises for sale” and 590 for “franchise opportunities”, but interest swings: “franchise opportunities” hit 1,600 in September 2025 and fell to 320 in June and July 2026. A few strong recruitment pages, kept separate from customer pages, are usually enough to capture that demand.
It depends on the number of locations and how much usable content already exists. Local and industry SEO retainers generally sit between A$900 and A$3,000 a month; larger networks are scoped per rollout, since each batch of location pages takes research and writing. Some franchisors fund it from the marketing fund, others charge per store. We price the work so head office knows the cost of each new location before it opens.
They can, when someone asks for the nearest option or the best-rated one in a suburb. Assistants rely on consistent location data, reviews and pages that state plainly what each store offers. Mismatched hours or addresses across a network confuse them, just as they confuse Google. Our AI visibility service checks whether ChatGPT and Gemini name your stores for local questions.
